December 2013 - Hand Made Gifts

Give holiday gifts made with love! We will be making hand printed cards, sock animals, and more! This class will include collage, print making, machine sewing, and advanced hand sewing techniques. Create unique, artful hand made gifts.

Youth Classes (ages 7-12)

Fee: $75 (+ $10 kit fee); includes materials

Adult Classes (ages 13-100)

January 2014 - Make Your Own Pants This month we will be sewing our own pants using a pattern. These comfortable pants are simple to make and suitable to all sizes. You can make cozy flannel or cotton pajamas, or easy to wear casual cotton or linen pants. Youth Classes (ages 7-12) Tuesdays        1/7-1/28   3:30-5 Thursdays       1/9-1/30   4-5:30 Fee: $75 (+$10 kit fee) Sign up for Tuesdays or Thursdays. Limit: 6 students per class The first class will meet at Piedmont Fabric to learn about fabric properties and for students to select and purchase their own fabric (bring $30 for materials) Adult Classes (ages 13-100) Saturday          1/18            noon-5:30 Fee: $90           Limit: 10 students Bring 2 yards of fabric of your choice, and 1 yard of one inch elastic. Please prewash and iron your fabric prior to class. Craft Night (ages 13-100) Friday January 10th 7-9:30:  Open Craft Friday January 24th 7-9:30:  Open Craft Fee: $15 per session Bring your own ideas or projects in progress for sewing, embroidery, crochet, or soft sculpture. Celebrate festive meals around the table with original, artful décor hand made by you! Create a set of table linens: cloth napkins, place mats, and coasters. This class will incorporate printing techniques, patchwork, machine sewing, and embroidery.
